Hazel and Melvin’s Room is the brainchild of Minneapolis based designer Rebecca Yaker. Rebecca has an extensive background in fashion design, and has designed for more than 8 years for America’s largest retailers. In 2005 she decided it was time to exit the corporate world, and go 100% independent, focusing on a niche that direly needs updating – products for baby.
Rebecca’s quirky sense of color and style, coupled with her love of wit and whimsy has helped to create one of the most unique collections for the baby home furnishing market. Each item is designed and handmade in her Minneapolis design studio where she focuses on finding the best quality fabrics with the right balance of fun, bold colors and patterns that appeal to both the baby AND the parent – challenging the status quo.
