In February 2008, my pal Trish Hoskins and I had lunch with the president of Storey Publishing, a publishing house out of Massachusetts (the same publisher behind the One-Skein Wonders knitting books). A year and a half later, I am so proud to announce the release of our first book, One-Yard Wonders!
One-Yard Wonders is a first-of-its-kind book jam packed with 101 exciting projects at a variety of skill levels, each using ONLY a single yard of fabric. It's a treasury of fun, modern and innovative projects, from home to totes to pets to kids to apparel to toys and everything in between, this book will finally fulfill what to do with that single yard of special, coveted fabric you bought on impulse.
The book itself is hardcover with spiral binding (great to lay flat and hold your page) and 304 full color pages! As an added bonus, full size pattern pieces are supplied in the front cover envelope for all projects which require pattern pieces.
Product Dimensions: 8.9 x 8.4 x 1.3 inches
Get yourself a copy and enjoy some instant craft-ification! If you'd like, Trish and I would be happy to sign the book - please let me know!
What they're saying:
Talk about quality and quantity, One-Yard Wonders is an impressive volume of super creative projects all utilizing our favorite scraps and a simple yard of fabric. This book is a keeper! -- Amy Butler, owner and designer Amy Butler Designs
It seems every crafter manages to amass a collection of gorgeous fabric remnants they can never possibly use, either due to lack of yardage or project ideas. In 101 One-Yard Wonders, Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins liberate our hidden stash of printed textiles into easy and modern projects, and allow us to enjoy our fabric collections instead of neglecting them in our craft closets. -- Jenny Hart, founder of Sublime Stitching and author Embroidered Effects
