This one-of-a-kind dress combines woven fabric from my Tokyo adventure with my machine knitting skills.
The bodice is knit in blue heather from an acrylic yarn. Acrylic is a dirty word, you say? Not in this case! It is soft, with great drape and feminine pointelle detailing. The benefit of the acrylic is its launderability!
The gathered skirt is 100% cotton featuring a delightful scene from the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale, as the siblings discover a delicious house of candy and cake in the forest among owl and squirrel friends.
The waist is accented with a lovely piece of pink velvet trim.
The layered felt flower with vintage button is affixed to the dress with a jumbo snap, making it easily removable for laundering.
100% Machine Washable - please don't forget to remove flower prior to laundering!
